A Wedding Full of Special Moments

Your Favorite Wedding Moment and Why

My favorite moment of the day (and there were many) was the moment I walked out & looked at my groom. He had tears streaming down his face! He is not a crier at all, so this touched my heart. I’ve never felt more beautiful or more loved. Ever.

What You'd Change and Why

I haven’t had that many perfect days in my life. What I’d change and why are difficult to answer because it was so perfect. There is nothing big about my wedding day. I’d not stress so much the month before, but I wish his dad had worn a tux.

My Wedding Story

It was Friday December 17th, we were having dinner at our house with friends and I just knew today was not the day. I was standing in the kitchen with my friends when our song started to play and Jeremy asked for everyone’s attention. He told the story of how we met and how he saw me and said that he wished God would give him a girl just like me. He said God blessed him with me and he handed me a box and said “this is for you” I opened the box and it was empty. When I turned around with a confused look on my face he had dropped to his knees. With tears in his eyes, he said, “I love you, marry me?” I accepted.

Our Wedding

Jeremy and I had the most beautiful, most meticulously, planned Miami Beach wedding that anyone could ever put together in six months. Together with about 30 of our closest friends and family members we exchanged vows at sunset on May 23rd 2010 at Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort. Everything was perfect, from the weather to the, champagne toasts, and the impromptu Tim Mcgraw karaoke moment between my sister and me. It was the happiest day of my life so far.

Advice

  • Breathe! Try not to let the stress of planning your wedding make you forget why you’re getting married in the first place. Because you love each other! Nothing else matters. Not the centerpieces or candy stations or any of that other commercial stuff that it’s so easy to get wrapped up in. Make it memorable, because of the moments – not the things.

What terrific advice! We should all be so smart as to follow it.
