Never Wake Up Angry

By Francesca Di Meglio, About.com

Your grandma might have told you and your spouse to never go to bed angry. But going to bed angry isn't necessarily a bad idea. Sometimes, taking a break from an argument to cool off -- and perhaps sleep -- is a good thing. Sometimes, you'll better see the other person's side and be able to speak more rationally after you've rested, and the anger has blown over. Instead of saying never go to bed angry, you should say, "Never start the day angry." Work things out -- or at least listen to each other's points of view -- after a good night's sleep. The only downside is that there's usually less time for make-up sex in the morning!
