A whirlwind, six-week romance is all it took for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon to get married. Many rumors, including one that the couple wed as a publicity stunt, have plagued the couple since they got together. With a decade between them, the older Carey and younger Cannon likely have other challenges ahead of them. But the couple has defended their love by expressing devotion to another in the media.
Carey, 38, and Cannon, 27, married at Carey's estate in the Bahamas at sunset by Bishop Clifford Petty of National Church of God, according to People and MTV.com. The affair was intimate with only about 24 guests. Reports indicated that Cannon's family was not invited to the nuptials, but they sent their best wishes anyway.
Duh! The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas, where the wedding was held. After all, they were all here.
