Jay-Z and Beyonce have been protective -- not to mention secretive -- of their relationship from when they started dating in 2002. They denied they were together, then they denied they were getting married. People weren't even sure they actually got married because the wedding was under wraps. But they still appear to be a couple after all these years.
The Wedding:
Very little is actually known about these nuptials. A marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y. was the first clue that the couple might be tying the knot. According to reports, a N.Y. ceremony followed by a lavish party for about 30 people at Jay-Z's Tribeca apartment. DJ Cassidy was hired to spin. Amy's Orchids delivered 50,000 to 60,000 white orchid blooms from Thailand. The New York Post reported that the couple tattooed 4/4/08, the wedding date, on their ring fingers in Paris months beforehand.
The Honeymoon:
Again, it's hard to know anything for certain with Jay-Z and Beyonce. Some reports had Jay-Z performing in concerts in the days just after their wedding. Some tabloids including <i>OK!</i>, however, said in early May that Beyonce and Jay-Z headed to the desert to Camelback Mountain Resort in Arizona.
What the Press Says about Them:
The press doesn't say very much about Jay-Z and Beyonce's relationship beyond speculation. The couple is very quiet and secretive about their love. But lots of pretty photos of the pair grace the pages of tabloids at the supermarket check out.
What We Learn from Their Relationship:
Keeping their marriage for just the two of them is a wise move. You married each other and what other people think or say should not matter.
