Relationship Profile:

Carrie Underwood, who won the fourth season of American Idol, met Mike Fisher, a hockey player for the NHL's Ottawa Senators, backstage at one of her concerts in Toronto in October 2008. They first appeared together in public at an event in Quebec in January 2010. Underwood thanked Fisher profusely when she won a country music award, according to Us.

The Wedding:

The wedding, which was under lock and key with tight security, took place at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation resort under a tent in Greensboro, Ga. Estimated by RadarOnline to have cost more than $500,000, the wedding featured 250 guests and the bride wearing a Chantilly lace dress designed by Monique Lhuillier, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The Honeymoon:

Underwood told Us that she was letting Fisher handle the honeymoon plans. In fact, she did not even know where they were going. All she knew, according to Us was that the honeymoon would be in a warm climate.

What the Press Says about Them:

The press gushes about how much in love the two seem to be. They also seemed obsessed with the details of the wedding. People reportedly snagged the exclusivity agreement for photos and details of the wedding. But that didn't stop the others from speculating or tracking down leaks about what went on inside the wedding. It must have been spectacular.

What We Learn from Them:

Underwood said she was a winner because she ended up with Fisher. She clearly feels like he's in her corner, and she wants to do the same for him. We have to support our spouses and be their biggest cheerleader. But more importantly, you have to be thankful to have found your husband or wife. Showing gratitude for your love and relationship on a daily basis is a necessity. It keeps you humble and lets your spouse know you're not taking the love for granted.
