The Top 6 Wedding Venues in Las Vegas

In 2019, over 85,000 marriage licenses were issued in Clark County—more than any other county in the U.S. According to the Clark County Clerk’s office, it’s issued more than 4.78 million licenses since 1909. Those numbers are made more interesting by the fact that most people who get married here aren’t Nevada residents; in fact, more than triple the nuptials are historically between Vegas visitors.

This has a lot to do with the ease of getting married here. There’s no waiting period, blood tests are not required (although you will need proof of Social Security and a birth certificate or passport), and some chapels offer pre-wedding transportation to and from the courthouse. Pop-up wedding services have even allowed visitors to snag a license before they exit their airport terminal.

This being Vegas, you can find an officiator that will dress as Darth Vader, rent a dress in under an hour, get betrothed to your sweetheart on the proposal balcony at Tiffany & Co. in The Shops at Crystals, and enjoy a free Grand Slam breakfast if you get married at the Denny’s on Fremont Street.

And while Vegas weddings range from the cheap and cheerful to timeless and sublime, a spontaneous merger doesn’t mean it won’t last. The city has plenty of success stories, like Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman, who were married 50 years until his death; Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley, 31 years; and Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who married 23 years ago in Chapel of the Bells. Here are some of the best venues, from fun to thoroughly fabulous.

The Wynn's packages start with the simple “Elopement Affair,” an intimate ceremony that includes photography and videography. Alternatively, you could for the 50-guest “Elegant Affair” package and be treated to a reception in Wynn’s Primrose Courtyard, a canopy with floral arrangements, salon services, and custom florals. Of course, the resort specializes in custom décor and the like, so their on-site wedding planners, master bakers, and floral team can whip up just about anything.

The Chapel of the Flowers is arguably one of the prettiest walk-in wedding venues on the Strip. The wedding chapels at Caesars Palace will provide a coordinator, photographer, music, limo service to the Marriage License Bureau, hair and makeup at Color Salon by Michael Boychuck, and more—but a more unusual package can be found at Nobu Hotel, the boutique within Caesars. Here, you can join in the Japanese wedding custom of San San Ku Do, which traditionally consists of a sake toast to bring the two families together. The package can get as involved as you want; for $10,000, you can spend the night inside the very desirable Nobu Penthouse, with food provided by Nobu Matsuhisa’s own team.
