For years, visitors to this site have debated whether women should change their name after they get married. At times, the fight has become quite divisive, even vitriolic. People are far more passionate about the subject of name changing than I ever imagined when I first posed the question. Today, an article in USA Today revealed where Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet stands on the question. Winslet, who married Ned Rocknroll in December, is a newlywed herself, so she has had a chance to think about name changing. She was pretty outspoken on the subject during a recent interview. So, where do you think Winslet stands? Read the article and you'll find out. If you want to share your opinion on whether women should change their name when they tie the knot, you can visit the Name Change Debate "Weigh In" page.
