Marriage Apps

By February 7, 2013

Follow me on:

I'm new to the world of apps. Don't feel silly if you don't really know what they are. I didn't know either. Then, I started using a Kindle Fire HD, and I started to explore the world of apps. I learned that they are applications that allow you to accomplish tasks, learn new things, or have some fun. Still sounds vague, doesn't it? Well, for example, you could use an app to help your child learn vocabulary words. Mine has one in which he clicks on a barn to open its doors and an animal appears, along with its name.

What I learned this morning is that there are many, many apps available on my Kindle - presumably on iPads, smart phones, and other devices, too - that can help you improve your marriage. One free app that I came across was 30-Day Challenge, which is free to download and prompts you with ways to romance your spouse; it offers one idea for each day of the month. My first suggestion today was to look my husband in the eye while in public and give him a big kiss. I could choose an alternative to that recommendation, and one of those was to snap a photo of myself holding a sign that says, "I'm crazy about you." Cute idea, no? There were other apps - some free and some for a small fee - that include tips from marriage counselors, quotes about love, and games that have you challenging bridezilla in planning a fabulous wedding.

Now, if you don't mind, I have to go do something about that kiss.
