Wedding Album Wednesday - A New Ring

The exchange of rings is the central part of most wedding ceremonies. But you don't have to just give and get a ring when you first marry. There are anniversary rings, everyday rings, cocktail rings. Really, you could give each other rings for many occasions, so why not the holidays?
Recently, I learned about a line of rings, Type AG, which are designed by Mark Strelau, who created dental veneers and crowns for dental patients. He used that talent to create a line of silver rings, which are now for sale and range in price from $120 to $165. His inspiration for designing this jewelry came from a quiet moment on the beach with his family as they were coping with his mother's diagnosis of stage 4 ovarian cancer. His father bought necklaces from a woman selling trinkets. The story touched me. While I have never purchased or seen the actual line of rings and can not recommend them or comment on quality, I thought the look of them was striking and the story was interesting. I thought you might like to see them for yourself. You will see also that these rings have a masculine touch, which can be hard to find in jewelry, which is great if you are shopping for your husband. Since folks are in the market for holiday gifts, now is as good a time as any to check them out. After all, rings - or any jewelry, really - are usually appreciated by all.
