Some people say that women associate dancing with sex, which is a way a man who can dance can woo the ladies. I don't know about all that. But I just like to hold my husband close. We don't dance as much as sway. In fact, we danced to our song, "Stai Con Me" by Raf, an Italian tune whose title means "Stay with Me," at our vow renewal, and we swayed for a minute, then hubby pulled a Wedding Singer by putting his hands on my rear as a joke, and then he lifted me in the air and carried me around for the last two minutes of the song. He's a foot taller than I am, so it was all pretty hilarious.
Still, I often wonder how much better we could have done if we had gotten dance lessons, which make for a great date night. Maybe we could have actually danced instead of trying to get a laugh. Some people take dance lessons before their wedding. But who says you have to stop taking dance lessons once you're married? If you're like us, you never even started. You could take Latin, ballroom, or belly dancing. Maybe you could get semi-famous and end up on Dancing with the Stars.
