Newlyweds tend to have lots of new stuff. They get many gifts for their wedding, and the generosity keeps going well into the holidays because friends and family think you need more to get started on your new life. All that stuff comes in bags and boxes and wrapping. That causes a lot of waste. One of my new year's resolutions is to recycle more.
I've gotten started already by keeping gift boxes and bags from holiday gifts, which I will reuse when I give gifts. I also went through old papers and documents to see what could be recycled, and I'm going to try and remember to put out the recyclables according to my town's schedule. Just about all those boxes that carried wedding and shower gifts can either be recycled or used to store things in your attic, for example. Don't let any of it go to waste.
