MSNBC points out that Michelle Obama is not typical. She's a highly educated African American woman, who is happily married with children. Many other African American women, who are highly educated, never marry and remain childless, according to new findings recently presented at the American Sociological Society's annual meeting in San Francisco.
I would have thought highly educated people of any group would have had more confidence and would develop better personal relationships and therefore have more opportunity to marry. The statistics tell a different story. Why do you think that is? Personally, I think a lot of single men are missing great opportunities for smart and successful mates.
Well educated women are also a little skeptical of the pick up line and I think find it harder to find serious guys among the fooling around kind.

You’re right…I’m well educated, african american woman and I will not ever get married. I prefer to spend the rest of my life working and staying fit…which is a lot more fun than married life so life’s good on this end.
