Immigration Law Separates Newlyweds

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. If that's true, somebody ought to tell the newlyweds who might have to spend up to a year and a half apart because of a relatively new immigration law in the groom's native United Kingdom.

Adam Wallis, 28, and his Canadian bride Rochelle Roberts, 19, married in the U.K. a week after Robert's visa ran out, according to The Toronto Star. The pair may now have to separate until Roberts turns 21, according to the The Star. Some people in the U.K. think the law, intended to protect underage people from being forced to sponsor a spouse from overseas needs to be revised to prevent this sort of thing from happening. What do you think?
