Word is spreading like wild fire that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, who have been denying rumors about getting a divorce, are expecting twins thanks to a surrogate. The couple has a six-year-old son who Parker carried. Parker and Broderick have not explained why they chose to use a surrogate this time.

Many couples who are infertile seek surrogates to carry a child for them. Other celebrities, including former television host Joan Lunden, have turned to surrogacy, which is becoming more mainstream. It's another option for people who want to become parents and for whatever reason can not carry the child themselves. Still, surrogacy is not a decision to be taken lightly and requires lots of research and thought. What do you think of surrogacy? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
