A New Orleans Wedding Is a Honeymoon for the Guests

Some couples don't wait for the honeymoon. They have their wedding in a place that's so much fun that it feels like the honeymoon starts with the rehearsal dinner. Bonnie Gibbs and Paul Vengrow had most of the guests at their New Orleans wedding stay right on Bourbon Street, the heart of the city. People just walked down the street to unwind. "One of my favorite unique moments from the wedding was when they walked from the reception to the hotel down Bourbon Street," writes photographer Tyson Trish. "People on the street greeted the newlyweds with beads and cheers and chants, great images and great memories for them."
Whether you have a destination wedding or not, you should still have a honeymoon. Newlyweds need a little alone time to unwind, feel close to one another (which is often difficult to feel at a big wedding where you're being pulled in different directions), and, yes, have sex. With the difficult economic times, you might feel as though you can't afford a honeymoon. But you can -- if you just think outside the box. Who says you have to go away to have a honeymoon? There are plenty of affordable alternative honeymoons -- some of which you can enjoy for free.

Way to party throughout the nuptials as well as the honeymoon!
Good idea!
They look like they’re having so much fun! Great photo!
We’ll have our honeymoon a year after the wedding
What a fun photo! They definitely look like they’re having the time of their lives.
Thanks for sharing that photo with us. What a lively scene, very well captured!
What a great photo. The couple is beautiful, and the lights of the surrounding street really give it a sparkle.
I have always lived in the south; Texas and Arkansas. I use to visit New Orleans often and everytime I went there was a wedding going on. It never failed. I’d be shopping in the French Quater and next thing I knew there’d be a parade for the wedding. Great picture. It really reminded me of all those great trips.
Happy WW.
congratulations to the newlyweds!
Here’s my WW. Thanks!
I was there! It was the happiest wedding I’ve ever attended!
