Make Yourself Lucky in Love

Wordless Wednesday Wedding
Your wedding day should not be the only time you celebrate your love and commitment for one another. Abbey and Jason scheduled another photo shoot months after their wedding to continue to reflect on their decision to be together. Ideally, we should take at least five minutes every day to think about our husband or wife and to focus on our love for one another.
Some people say they just aren't lucky in love. But often we make our own luck. Being aware of our promises and pursuing and seizing happiness when it comes to us is our own doing. If, for example, you flirt with someone other than your spouse online, you are putting your relationship at risk. If your wife leaves you as a result of this, it will not be because you are unlucky, it will be because you forgot to appreciate the love you already have. I don't want to get too spiritual or moral on you. But you create your own luck by being grateful for what you have and not doing anything to put that at risk. If you never take your love for granted and celebrate your marriage long after the wedding day, you will remain lucky in love.

I really appreciate your take; good luck takes effort! The photos are great, too! Best of “luck” to Abbey and Jason!
Very true!
What a great idea, to do a photo shoot when you’re relaxed and all the worries about delays and glitches are behind you.
What a fantastic idea! Wish I’d thought of that when I married. I looked totally exhausted in my photos. Thanks for sharing the super photos, and wonderful idea.
Great photos! It looks like they had a lot of fun having them taken.
I always tell young people that the key to always having a perfect storybook marriage is always believing that you have one. The catch is that the other person has to always believe it too.
Beautiful pictures! I also wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all the best on your upcoming wedding, Francesca. I’ve been enjoying your blog for the last few months.
Thanks for the well wishes! We’re getting super excited for the big day. And I appreciate hearing from people who have been following the newlyweds site. Please feel free to share your advice, tips, and stories about the early days of marriage.
