Mass Wedding ahead of 2008 Olympics in China

Wordless Wednesday Wedding
The 2008 Olympic Games in China will kick off on Friday. Ahead of the Olympic Games, the Chinese held a mass wedding ceremony. Reports in foreign newspapers suggest that on Friday as the Olympic Games begin, as many as 16,000 Chinese couples could participate in another mass wedding because the date, 8-8-08, is considered lucky and will have historical significance, thanks to the world's largest sporting event. That's a whole lot of newlyweds in one place!
With that kind of build up and excitement surrounding your wedding day, you might feel let down when it is all over, so be sure to give yourself time to get over the post-wedding blues. Remember that your wedding is just one day, but your marriage should last a lifetime. Really, this is only the beginning of the excitement. While you should enjoy the photos and memories of your wedding day, you must also plan for the future for your husband or wife and you. If you always strive to improve your relationship, your honeymoon could last forever!

Cool photo and news about the Chinese newlyweds, but I especially appreciate the links to your articles! Thanks!!
Great photo!
With the white and black against the red, it makes for a very nice contrast.
I just hope they don’t all name their babies “Olympics.” I hear that’s the trend now!
It is? Poor kids. I do love the photo, though. Quite a celebration!
Great way to split the cost of the wedding. Maybe they can share the anniversary dinner expenses, too.
They seem very happy. I guess they don’t mind sharing their special day with so many others!
Babies named “Olympics”? And I thought the fact that “Ariel” was the #1 girl’s name in the US when “The Little Mermaid” came out was a strange trend.
The bride is beautiful. The groom should have had a dress jacket on.
