Improve Communication Skills
Monday July 7, 2008
Technically, as of this morning, I'm a married lady. My groom, Antonio Gerenini, and I wed in the civil service that is required in Italy ahead of our church wedding in the fall. In the weeks leading up to this blessed event, I learned that communication skills are essential to a marriage's success. You need communication skills, not only to express your needs and wants and understand those of your spouse, but also to reach common ground with your in-laws, your spouse's friends, your kids, and any others who enter your lives. If you think your communication skills are already good, remember that you can always improve them. Everyone could stand a little self-reflection and tools for arguing and explaining better. These communication skills could save your marriage or another important relationship in your life.
