The Newlywed Game

Tuesday July 1, 2008
I remember watching reruns of The Newlywed Game with my mom when I was a kid. Watching those episodes today would be like opening a time capsule from another era. You'd find freshly married couples with feathered hair or afros dressed in polyester and platforms. They would be responding to questions -- and giggling -- about the best time of day for making whoopee (a word from another time) and where your spouse likes to be kissed.

But if you want to relive the glory days of The Newlywed Game, you just may get your chance -- and you won't need a time machine. The Game Show Network (GSN) is planning a new version of the show. Recently, the network announced that the host would be comedian Judy Gold. I'm curious to see if she'll favor the wives, flirt with the husbands, or both.

Would you consider participating in The Newlywed Game? Why or why not? Let us know in the Newlyweds Forum.
